Welcome to the SVAS English Grammar course. This course offers a practical guide to the grammar, punctuation, and usage skills that students most need to know. It is individually tailored to your grammar needs - so you won't have to repeat materials that you have already mastered.

Let's get started!

The first step in the process is to complete an online diagnostic test. This will provide you with an assessment of your grammar needs. After receiving your assessment, you will meet with your teacher to chart out a plan of action. This will usually be your completion of the necessary work packs that relate to the areas of study you need.

You will be using the English Grammar diagnostic test that was created by the Authors of the text book English Brushup, used for this course. When you complete the test, you and your teacher will receive a score report illustrating your test performance and recommending resources for further study.

Requirements for taking the diagnostic test:

• You must have an email address to complete the test
• You will be asked for an email address for your teacher in order to receive your test results. Enter the email address - jrose@sonomavly.k12.ca.us
• Expect to spend at least 45 minutes of uninterupted time to take the test. You will not be able to save the test to complete at another time.
